Giving care to families during difficult times

ABOUT US

Khairgiver, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that bridges Muslim communities to their local hospitals and patients. “Khair” means blessings/goodness in Arabic, and the organization was created by ICU nurse Shazia Memon after witnessing a void in Muslim community support for many hospitalized patients.

MISSION

Khairgiver is an organization that was created to fill that void and bridge Muslim communities to their local hospitals. There are patients and families who need support, and communities who would love to provide support -- we hope to connect those who need the help with those who want to give it. We currently operate in New York City but work with hospitals around the country.

HISTORY

Khairgiver's first project was an Eid Toy Drive for the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NYP in 2015. The following year, we did our first Ramadan Drive where we catered iftar meals a few days a week for families of patients who were admitted to the hospital. Since then, both drives have grown tremendously. We now provide suhoor and iftar meals every day during Ramadan. And our annual Eid ul Adha Toy Drive expanded to TWENTY FIVE hospitals around the country in 2022!

We run on charitable donations
